Automobiles in Germany's City Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who found a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Around 50 cars have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they reported.

Officers then found multiple other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state early analysis show the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no indication as to its origin; authorities are not yet aware of any harm in association with the incident," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to solve the case" and have asked to the community for tips.

An important political figure said the attack made him speechless and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This event hits the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the death of nine victims by a shooter focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
